Question by L: Can you collect child support from biological father,if you receive support from legal father already? (2 men)
Never knew I had a son till recently. Mother gave him “legal fathers” last name, and all rights. He now pays child support for the child. I paid for paternity test, and found out child was mine. Will she be able to collect child support from me now, even though the court has legally apointed another man as father? She told courts that no one else could be the father (a lie). She did this to rec’v gov’t assistant. I tired to go to court to obtain custody, but judge sided with mother all the way. I knew there was no way for me to win, so I gave up the legal battle. Now mother is mad with me & wants me to be around since “legal” father is not around. & wants me to butt out when her and the legal father are on good terms. Any advice?
I am in FL, the legal father has been in and out of jail. The legal fathers family has admitted to me that they treat him different bc he is not biologically his father. The mother has 3 kids total, with 3 different men. Works @ a strip club, driving lic. is supended, has been to jail, she sux as a mom. We tried to tell the court this, so we could get full custody, but the court still sided with her. We have taken pix of her 5 yr old daug playing outside by her self, she has admitted that she wish that she never had her 3rd child which is now 1. Her daugher has come over our house & stated that she has seen her mom with a gun. & her daughter tried to play “were going to visitation @ the jail” with our other kids. She is a totally unfit mother, but no matter what the courts always side with her. This is why we gave up fighting for custody.

not without a lot of legal paperwork & time…don’t let her use your child against you & if it means a lot to you go through the steps necessary to be recognized as the father…regardless of whether she ends up able to get you for support. Good luck!
